Bibi's Pyrrhic Victory

We bet Netanyahu’s electoral success, after a campaign of fear, will soon reveal a Phyrric victory.

Benjamin Netanyahu reneged the principle of full self-government for West Bank and Gaza, mining Israel's international reputation.
He promised further settlements, against domestic and international rule of law.
He showed a sinister, racial hate against Israeli Arab minority.
He adopted a hypocrite, warmongering anti-Iran rhetoric, he is the first to disbelieve.
In the end, however, he will not be able to rule Israel without listening the people's most profound social and spiritual needs, and without the cooperation of Israel's neighbors - Lebanon, Egypt, the Palestinian Authority, Jordan, and even Syria, and beyond.
Bibi will soon collide with the Kulanu Party, whose leader Moshe Kahlon ran a campaign based on economic justice issues. Or he will again be out of touch with the Israeli secular middle class, mostly represented by Yair Lapid, the Yesh Atid leader.
In the end, Likud earned 30 out of the Knesset's 120 seats, and a coalition government with all the - greedy and quarrelsome - nationalist, religious, ultra-Orthodox Jewish parties, counts only 57 votes.
They depend on the centrist Kulanu Party.
A right-handed coalition will be, once again, a reckless, but fragile jumble.
